Shortly after my husband and I got married, we faced a family situation that became difficult and very troubling. Without going deep into the details of our family situation, we were being attacked by the devil’s schemes through verbal and situational attacks brought on by other people outside our family. Long story short, God came through for us in a way that was unpredictable and miraculous.
A few things strike me as God’s ways during our battle, and so we followed His leading. Here are some things that we did in a biblical sense to fight back.
First, we had to unite as a couple. We realized that this was not a struggle against flesh and blood, but a spiritual attack to try and destroy our new life together and our family. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12 NIV). We prayed together and asked for prayer from our friends and family. I fasted and prayed on my own as well. My husband sought out wise and Godly counsel from an elder at our church and from one of our pastors. We had to go the legal route and not be afraid of what that might cost us financially. And it did cost us, but God provided that as well just in the nick of time too. And ultimately, we kept our faith and trusted that God would see us through.
Two days before we headed to court, a new prospect of peace was offered to us, and a deal could be reached out of court through a settlement agreement. At first, we weren’t sure if we could trust
what the person was offering. The following morning my husband called me and said that he had just seen a white dove fly right in front of his car when he was stopped at a traffic light. He is skeptical of those types of things, but I knew immediately that this was a sign from God to work for peace, and that God himself created this new plan. We just had to follow it! There were other surrounding circumstances that had suddenly changed as well, so we knew this new path was a pathway sent straight from God. Thank you, Jesus!
The point of all of this is that God does come through often when you least expect it and in a
very miraculous way, often at the last hour. So, never give up! If you are facing a trial today, put your trust in God, look for His plan, and miraculous ways. God will come through for you. Follow His ways and put your trust in Him. If you are not sure what God’s ways are, check scripture for clarity. His will is in His word.
Be Blessed,
